I made it out twice to this years Cheeseburger in Caseville festival. Having stopped at the antique tractor show on the way, I was ready to see this years Cheeseburger. By the time I arrived the party was in full swing and the streets were filled with people enjoying the tropical cheeseburger fun. It was fairly easy to find parking, and the traffic was managed well. I walked through the entire festival and took in all the sights and sounds of the northern tropical paradise of Caseville. The air was filled with the smell of cheeseburgers grilling. I wasn't hungry when I got to Cheeseburger, but it didnt take long for my appetite to grow. I decided to try a cheeseburger offered by the Port Elizabeth Grill, they were a former winner of the best cheeseburger in town so I went with their cheeseburger. It was a good burger. While I ate, Third Coast performed caribbean steel drum songs, and it was nice music to eat by. On a perfectly sunny day, with the island music in the air, Caseville truly was a tropical paradise. After looking through the vendors and all they had to offer, I took a stroll out on the breakwall and watched boats sailing. If I didnt know better I would have thought I was on an island in the south pacific. Finally I watched Franken Dread perform at the ampitheater and they were really good, and entertained a large crowd. On Wednesday I went back to Caseville to watch the Parade of Tropical Fools down Main Street. This is a very large parade celebrating tropical fun. The streets were packed with onlookers, and kids were right up in front to catch the candy beeing thrown from all the fools. The Parade of Tropical Fools is one of the most original parade themes I have ever seen, and everyone was having great fun.
